Teaching Time: Story of King Dave, who had to face the Truth. Story of Nathan, a man that wanted King David to agree with God and confess his SIN. Watch: Story of David & Bathsheba | 100 Bible Stories. Read the Bible verses, 2 Samuel 11, The Story of David and Bathsheba.

Small Group Time: Need Journal pages, pens/pencils. Reflection Questions: (1) What were David’s sins? (2) What did David do wrong? (3) David was King so he could have any woman he wanted; what was so wrong about selecting Bathsheba? (4) How many wives did David have? (5) Why did David order Uriah home? (6) Who was Uriah? (7) Why wouldn’t Uriah stay with his wife? (8) What did David do to Uriah? (9) Which commandments did David break? (10) What do you think of David’s confession of his sin? (11) Do you think Bathsheba was innocent? (12) What happened after Uriah died? (13) What would you have done with Nathan’s confrontation with David? (14) What happened to the first-born child of David and Bathsheba? (15) Is there something you want to confess to God? (16) What are the 10 Commandments? Read: 10 Commandments.

CENTERS-

(1) Confession All for One- Need: Bible, Three Pennies for each child and adult/jr Leader. Read Romans 3:23. Reflection questions: (1) What is sin? (2) What is the difference between sin and a mistake? (3) What did you learn from the Confession Experience? (4) What does the bible verse mean to you? (5) What is God’s Glory? (6) What did the Confession Experience teach you about the truth of the bible verse we read?

(2) Walk in the Light and Face the Truth- Need: Bible. Read John 8:12. Reflection questions: (1) How does the Bible tell us to walk in the LIGHT? (2) Who has sinned? Reflection Activity: STATEMENTS OF TRUTH: (1) Sometime I get mad I yell at people in my anger. (2) Some times I really want what someone else has. (3) Sometimes I cheat when playing games with my friends or family. (4) Sometimes I do not tell the truth. (5) Sometimes I take things that don’t belong to me. (6) Sometimes I make other things more important or put other things before my God. (7) Sometimes I use or say GOD’s name and I am not praying to HIM. (8) Sometimes I do not respect and participate on the Sabbath day (Church) (9) Sometimes I do not honor or respect my mother/father/adult figures. (10) Sometimes I do not treat living things with respect. Read Romans 3:23.

(3) Rearview mirror- Need: Bibles, paper/pencils, large mirror. Show and Read Romans 3:23. Play Motion Memory Verse. Read Philippians 3:12-14. Play music, For All Have Sinned. Reflection Questions: (1) How easy or hard is it to write the verse backward to reflect it perfectly in the mirror? (2) How easy or difficult is it to be perfect in life? (3) What does Philipians 3:12-14 say about not living in the past? (4) What can we do this week or today to not live in the past?

Circle Group Time: (1) Small Group Guide Lines, (2)Name introductions, (3) Share Blessings/Prayer, (4) Closing Prayer and share Forgiveness Pennies, (5) Read/Repeat/Say Serenity Prayer.
