Lesson 28- “ADMIT”

“Happy are the pure in Heart,” (Matthew 5:8)

Worship: Spirit Lead Me, Nothing is Impossible, Help Me Jesus, and Thankful. Background Meditation Music: Speak Lord. Play His Great Love.

Circle Group Time: (1) READ Small Group Guidelines, (2) READ CR CP Class Rules, (3) Name introductions, (4) Announcements.

Teaching Time: Play CR CP DVD “It all Adds Up” story. Q: What does admitting the truth to one another mean to you?

Small Groups: Need- CP Journal Page, pen/pencils, Reminder about Small Group Guidelines. Questions to Consider: (1) What did you think about Bill’s Story? (2) When have you felt like Bill, if ever? (3) What do you need GOD to do in your life; subtract, add, multiply or divide? (4) What does addmitting the truth to one another mean to you?

Centers-

(1) Colorful Chains. Need- Bible, and pipe cleaners (need 5 different colored strips for each child). Add: beads and the children can put beads on the pipecleaner to make braceletts. REFLECTION Questions: (1) How can keeping secretes from our family keep us in chains? (2) How can admitting our sins to God and to those around us break the chains? (3) How do you think secretes can make people feel like they are in chains? (4) When you have shared a secret and did you feel more free? (5) What does James 5:16 say about confessing our sins? (6) What does God say we need to do when we confess our sins? READ James 5:16.

(2) Support Roles. Need- FORM PAIRS. Describe the game to the Children. REFLECTION Questions: (1) what was it like to support one another? (2) How can we suppport one another here at CR CP? (3) How can we support our family members this week?

(3) ICK! Need- Bible and photo of an infected SORE. REFLECTION QUESTIONS: (1) What causes an infection? (2) Have you ever had an infected sore/wound? (3) How did it feel to have an infection? READ Psalm 32:3-4. REFLECTION QUESTIONS: (1) What does the bible verse say about what happens when you are silent about your sin? (2) What do you think happens to your soul/spirit what hyou keep your sins secrete? (3) Why do you think admitting your sins is so important? (4) Is there something that you need help admitting to GOD? (5) Can you ask GOD to help you to have the courage to admit your sine to people you trust so you can stay healthy?

Small Groups: Allow time for children to pray individually or as a group about todays centers. Encourage the children to talk about any discoveries they want to share about today’s lesson. What did you experience? What did you learn? Prayer requests can be written on the Journal Page. Encourage the children to pray for one other person during the next week.

Prayer/Closing: (1) Share Blessings/Prayers, (2) Closing Prayer: Dear Heavely Father, thank you for rescuing all of us through your son, Jesus Christ. Thank you for giving us opportunities to admit our wrong doings, sins and for providing wonderful trustful people to help us. In Jesus Name. AMEN, (3) Read/Repeat/Say Serenity Prayer. Play His Great Love.
